Description

The Green Pine (ELM-2090) is an early warning and fire control radar developed by Elta Electronic Industries, a subsidiary of IAI Electronic Group, for the Arrow 2 missile defense system. Operating in the UHF band (500-1000 MHz), it is an electronically scanned, solid-state, phased array radar derived from the Elta Music and PHALCON systems. The radar, which includes a trailer-mounted antenna array, power generator, cooling system, and control center, can simultaneously perform search, detection, tracking, and missile guidance. It has an instrumented range of 500 km, can track targets moving at over 3,000 m/s, and guides the Arrow missile to within 4 meters of its target. India acquired two Green Pine radars for its air defense system, with the first delivered in 2001.
