Description

The Il-114P and Il-114MP are intended for military customers for operations at all-weather, day/night conditions and provided with a modular architecture to accommodate a wide range of weapons and sensors. The Il-114MP is a multipurpose aircraft suitable for aerial patrolling in littoral and blue water zones providing detection, identification, tracking and destruction of both surface and underwater targets. The aircraft gathers electronic reconnaissance data to pinpoint the target's location. Moreover, Il-114MP can be employed in Search and Rescue (SAR) operations locating survivors and delivering survival equipment. In the ASW role, the Il-114MP aircraft is equipped with radar, sonobuoys, magnetic anomaly detector (MAD), IR and TV imaging systems as well as electronic reconnaissance systems. In addition, it is capable of airdropping mines. In the ASuW role, the Il-114MP can effectively engage a surface vessel from standoff ranges. The Il-114P is a scaled-down variant of the Il-114MP aircraft intended primarily to perform air patrols in the Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs), ports and coast surveillance, and environmental monitoring. The Il-114P aircraft's equipment allow for detection, identification and tracking of surface vessels. In addition to its surveillance role, the Il-114P can be used for SAR, medical evacuation and cargo transport. The array of sensors provided to this aircraft include: radar, IR and TV imaging systems. Additionally, it can incorporate gun pods, survival equipment containers, searchlight and loudspeaker pods. Both aircraft feature a two-man crew and two to four operators. The Il-114P is lighter and smaller than the Il-114MP and can operate form shorter runways. The flight endurance loitering at ranges of up to 370 kilometers from its home airfield varies between 8 to 12 hours. The Il-114P is powered by two TV7-117 turboprop engines and the Il-114MP is powered by two Al-20D turboprop engines. The Il-114P can operate at altitudes between 100 to 8,000 meters while the Il-114MP must operate at altitudes above 500 meters.
