Hunter Singaporean Armored Fighting Vehicle
Hunter Singaporean

The Hunter Singaporean Armored Fighting Vehicle (AFV) is one of the most advanced fully digitized fighting platforms designed to meet the operational demands of future battlefields. Ergonomically designed for the technologically savvy and interconnected next-generation soldier, the Hunter was developed in collaboration with the Singapore Armed Forces and the Defense Science and Technology Agency (DSTA). Born from disruptive thinking and driven by a shared passion for innovation, the Hunter AFV boasts enhanced firepower, protection, mobility, and situational awareness, making it the best in its class. As the first fully digitized platform of its kind, the integrated combat cockpit features a range of multifunction displays that assist each crew member with command and control, gunnery, and vehicle maneuvering. These displays incorporate video feeds and data from driving cameras, the Commander’s and Gunner’s sights, all-around surveillance sensors, platform sensor data, and the Integrated Battlefield Management System (iBMS). With increased operational efficiency, the Hunter AFV includes Automatic Target Detection and Tracking Systems that help the crew with quick and effective target identification and engagement. The all-around surveillance system allows for closed-hatch operations, enabling the crew to monitor their surroundings on-screen without exposure to enemy sniper fire. To enhance survivability, the Hunter AFV is equipped with a laser warning system, allowing the crew to respond to enemy fire effectively and promptly. The Drive-by-Wire feature utilizes electrical signals to control driving functions, enabling flexibility in the vehicle's operation. This technology allows both the driver and the commander to control the vehicle seamlessly using a shared set of controls and a digital graphical user interface, providing tactical versatility for the crew. It also lays the groundwork for unmanned and autonomous operations. The Hunter Armored Fighting Vehicle (AFV) is equipped with a comprehensive suite of Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) systems built on an open architecture. This design enhances its network and communication capabilities, making it modular for easier upgrades and fully integrating both hardware and software systems. The vehicle features the Integrated Battlefield Management System (iBMS), which includes advanced cybersecurity protection measures and the ability to operate effectively in environments without GPS. This ensures secure information transmission between the vehicle and other platforms, facilitating connections for battlefield command and digital mission planning. Additionally, the Health and Utilization Monitoring System enables improved fleet management by supporting condition-based and predictive maintenance.
