Description

The Paramount Group and KADDB Matador is a 4x4, fast and agile, mine-protected armored vehicle in the 15 tons weight class designed to carry a crew of 14 (2+12) into the battlefield. The mine protection provided to this vehicle exceeds STANAG level 4 (4569) withstanding blasts of anti-tank land mines of 14kg TNT anywhere under the hull or 21kg of TNT under any wheel. The Matador can be used for troops, weapon and material transport. The power plant consists of a militarized MAN engine developing 289-hp and a top speed of 100 kph. The Matador can be provided as an armored personnel carrier (APC) or as a light infantry combat vehicle equipped with weaponry. In addition, the vehicle can serve as ambulance, command vehicle and anti-armor fire support fitted with anti-tank missiles. Armor kits can provide protection against improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and rocket propelled grenades (RPGs). The Matador can be airlifted by C-130 sized aircraft.
