Description
The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) HQ-17AE is a wheeled robotic air defense system intended to counter small drones at short and close ranges. The air defense is provided with an array of sensors and 6x4 short-range surface to air missiles and 6x8 close range missiles all of them mounted on a single 8x8 robotic platform. The HQ-17AE missile system was unveiled in November 2024 at the Zuhai Airshow in China.
