The CM-708, also known as CM-708UNB, is a long-range, submarine-launched, subsonic anti-ship missile derived from the YJ-8 missile family developed for the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy (PLAN). The CM-708 features a range of 290 kilometers and can be fired from the PLAN conventionally- and nuclear-powered attack submarines such as Song, Yuan and Shang classes. In May 2017 China agreed to sell the CM-708 missile to Thailand along with three S26T submarines to be delivered by 2028.
