The AgustaWestland AW109 Trekker is a light twin-engine helicopter offering skid landing gear and leveraging the AW109 airframe and the Grand helicopter spacious cabin. The AW109 Trekker is the ideal solution for utility, EMS (Emergency Medical Service), SAR (Search and Rescue), law enforcement, surveillance and passenger transport applications. The Trekker has a maximum take-off weight of 3,175 kg and 1,500 kg of useful load with a cruise speed of 296 kph. This helicopter features the Garmin G1000HTM glass cockpit and is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW207C engines each rated at 608 KW (815 shp). Besides, the aircraft includes a cocoon-type airframe, crash resistant fuel system, crew and passengers seats, full Cat. A / Class 1 performance even in hot environments, avionics providing enhanced situational awareness and a 3-axis autopilot, plus Flight Director, coupled to the GPS. The AW109 Trekker helicopter was unveiled in California at the Heli Expo exhibition on February 26, 2014.
