Description
The UH-60V is an upgraded UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter featuring new digital cockpit supplied by Redstone Defense Systems and Northrop Grumman. The old analog gauges will be replaced by digital electronic instrument displays under the UH-60V program as well as adding new scalable, fully integrated mission equipment package. All in the UH-60V will replicate the UH-60M pilot-vehicle interface delivering a common training environment. This update follows the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) standard and supports integration of off-the-shelf software and hardware. The US Army plans to upgrade 700 to 900 UH-60A/L helicopters to the UH-60V configuration beginning in 2015.
