Design These stick grenades have a hollow handle containing a pull ring and string connected to a safety fuze igniter. Some of these grenades may be filled with Picric Acid explosive which can become sensitive with age. There are numerous different patterns and models of Chinese Stick (Defensive) grenades, which all have the same basic method of functioning.

Note The Type 67 or ‘Chicom’ Chinese hand grenade, was the most widely-used grenade amongst North Vietnamese forces specifically, the Viet Cong where it was known as the "Chinese Type II".
