Description
The Zircon-K is a new variant of the Zircon hypersonic missile and is intended for deployment inside shipping containers. The Zircon-K dimensions and performance will be modified in order to house them inside a shipping container. The container housed missiles such as Zircon-K and Calibr-K are intended to conduct sneak attacks using merchant ships as the launch platform instead of submarines and destroyers. The new missile development was revealed in December 2021 and is expected to be fielded with the Russian Navy by 2025.
