Atlantika SMR
The Atlantika SMR is a non-coherent Surface Movement Radar (SMR) designed for monitoring runways, taxiways, and parking positions at airfields. Operating in the K-band (33.5 to 34.1 GHz) with a magnetron transmitter, it emits pulses of either 55 or 125 nanoseconds at a peak power of 6 kW, achieving a range resolution of 10 meters. The system's design is adapted from a maritime coastal surveillance radar. It can be equipped with two types of circularly polarized waveguide slot antennas: the Type A2, which forms a fan beam with a 7° vertical coverage and 38 dB gain, or the Type A3, which incorporates a parabolic reflector to reduce the elevation beamwidth to 2.5° for a cosecant-squared pattern and offers a 43 dB gain. Both antennas feature a narrow 0.25° beamwidth and rotate at 60 revolutions per minute.
