Description

The INDERA MX-2 and MX-3 are X-band naval radars manufactured by Radar & Communication Systems (RCS) in Indonesia, utilizing Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) technology developed by the International Research Center for Telecommunication and Radar – Indonesia (IRCTR-I). These radars are optimized for surface target detection with a maximum transmit power of 5 W, making them Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) systems virtually undetectable by most Electronic Support Measures (ESM) receivers. Key features include solid-state design, frequency agility, ARPA functionality, integrated ECDIS S-57 electronic charts, integrated AIS, GPS, and compass, stand-alone navigation capability, adaptive CFAR, and Doppler FFT processing, with an instrumented range of 20 nautical miles (37 km) and a horizontal beamwidth of 1.6°. The Indonesian Navy operates these radars on various vessels.
