Description
The Turkish Navy DIMDEG fleet replenishment ship is intended to supply water, fuel and food to surface fighting ships around the world. The propulsion system consists of two LM2500 gas turbines and two diesel engines developing a maximum speed of 24 knots. The 22,000 ton DIMDEG ship has a length of 190 meters, a 7.2 meters height and a beam of 22 meters. Sefine Shipyard was selected by the Turkish Ministry of Defense in July 2018 to build one DIMDEG vessel in the early 2020s.
