Description
The Alkor is an Airport Surface Detection Radar (ASDR) that operates in the X-band (IEEE designation) or I-band (NATO designation) frequency range of 9.0 to 9.5 GHz. It utilizes a 6.5-meter wide, broadband waveguide slot antenna with circular polarization, rotating at 60 revolutions per minute. The radar has an instrumented range of 6,000 meters, a range resolution of 15 meters, and an accuracy of 7.5 meters in range and 0.15 degrees in azimuth.
