Description
The SCR-24, an abbreviation for Sun Create Radar, is a Chinese Precision Approach Radar (PAR) designed to provide precise guidance for aircraft during approach. Operating in the X-band (9.0-9.2 GHz) with a pulse width of 50 µs, it offers a detection range exceeding 25 km (15 NM) and height coverage over 3000 m, with a range resolution of 60 m and an accuracy of 30 m. Its design and specifications, including a 1.2° beamwidth and a Mean Time Between Critical Failures (MTBCF) of at least 30,000 hours, are notably similar to those of the Raytheon AN/FPN-67.
