Description

The ELM-2106 NG (Next Generation), also known as the 3D Air Defence Search Radar (ADSR-3D), is an L-band tactical air defense radar with a peak power of 400 W and an instrumented range of 80 km. This portable 3D radar detects a wide variety of airborne platforms, including low-level high-speed fighter aircraft, hovering helicopters, low ultra-light aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It provides accurate range, azimuth, and elevation angle measurements for each target, differentiating between aircraft and helicopters and classifying helicopter types based on their blade returns, with an accuracy of 30 meters in range and 0.5 degrees in angle. The ELM-2106 NG can function as a local Air Defense Command, Control, and Communications (C³) system, providing warning and target designation to Surface-to-Air weapon systems, including Man-Portable Air-Defense Systems (MANPADS), and can also serve as a gap filler supporting C³I centers for Air Traffic Control.
