Description
The Centauro VBM PLUS is an upgraded variant powered by a 720-hp hybrid electric engine and incorporating the armor improvements from Centauro II program. The vehicle features a Leonardo’s X-GUN 30mm cannon capable of firing air burst munition that can engage drones among a wide variety of targets. The Italian Army ordered 76 Centauro VBM PLUS armored vehicles in December 2024 with deliveries starting in 2026-2027.
