Description
The Russian Zircon Coastal Defense is a new ground-based missile system build around a mobile launcher carrying two Zircon hypersonic missiles. The new missile system is intended to engage surface ships and land targets at distances of up to 1,000-1,500 kilometers in less than 10 minutes thanks to the hypersonic vector. The development of the new mobile launcher was made public in November 2022 with the new missile system expected to be fielded before 2030.
