Description
The KM-SAM Block II missiles have increased range of up to 50 kilometers with the ability to hit targets flying at altitudes of up to 20 kilometers. The guidance system relies on inertial navigation with midcourse updates and terminal active radar seeker. The missile was first test fired in 2017 and entered service in 2021. The missile is expected to get some anti-ballistic capability update by 2027.
