Description
The DLB-P is a precision guided munition developed by China using 155mm or 152mm artillery shells along a wing and guidance kit. The guidance system relies on the inertial measurement unit (IMU) and the Chinese Beidou satellite navigation system. The new gliding weapon is the Chinese alternative to the United States GLSDB and Russian UMPK bombs, besides artillery shells are stockpiled in larger quantities than conventional air dropped bombs and munitions. The low-cost DLB-P weapons were introduced in May 2025 and are intended to hit targets with a maximum Circular Error Probable (CEP) of 10 meters. It is likely that the new DLB-P munitions are intended to be dropped from aircraft or drones.
