Description

The OG-9 Russian Projected Grenade is a high-explosive (HE), fragmentation, fin-stabilized, projected grenade utilizing the OG-9P (OГ-9П) propellant cartridge.

Launcher The OG-9 is fired from the SPG-9 Kopye (Spear) tripod-mounted man-portable, 73-millimetre caliber recoilless gun.
Launch Cartridge It uses an OG-9P (OГ-9П) electrically initiated launch cartridge similar to the PG-9P. On firing the lugs on the spigot shear off, leaving the fired empty launch cartridge behind in the gun. The only difference between the OG-9 and OG-15 is the propelling launch cartridge and the launcher used.
