Description

The Obzor-R is a multipurpose, X-band radar, Earth Observation satellite expected to be launched by the end of 2024. Roscosmos of Russia has developed the Obzor-R spacecraft to support both civilian and military applications. The satellite is equipped with a Synthetic Aperture Radar delivering images with a resolution of 500 meters. Roscosmos plans call for the deployment of three satellites beginning in 2024.
