Description

The Common Indirect Fire System (CIFS) is a joint program between France and Germany announced along the Main Ground Combat System (MGCS) through a letter of intent (LoI) signed on June 19, 2018. The CIFS is aimed at the development of a family of self-propelled howitzers to replace the existing PzH 2000 and GCTAUF2 155mm howitzers in the 2030-2040 timeframe. The new program will be carried out by KNDS.
