Anemone
The Anemone (Appareil Numérisé pour l’Exploitation des Mouvements d’Objectifs Navals Éloignés) is an X-band multi-mode airborne radar with an instrumented range of 200 km. It employs a frequency hopping method and can discontinuously track targets. The radar provides essential data for air-to-sea AM39 Exocet missile launches, air-to-ground fire control, and air-to-air weapon fire control for aircraft self-protection. Featuring a flat, passive electronically scanned array (PESA) antenna, the Anemone generates transmitting power via a traveling wave tube (TWT) and a digital signal processor. Approximately 40 units were produced and integrated into Dassault-Breguet Super Étendard aircraft in the 1990s, replacing the older Agave radar systems.
