Description
The Russian Project Project 22801 class corvette features the Pantsir-M air defense system as replacement for the AK-630M close-in weapon system. The Pantsir-M will make possible shooting down airborne threats at ranges of up to 20 kilometers thus providing extended air defense compared with the AK-630M gun system. The first improved Karakurt was commissioned in 2020.
