Description

The Keiler NG German Armored Engineering Mine Breaching Vehicle (AEBV) is a highly protected, mobile, and modern system designed for the tactical breaching of mine barriers. It combines a mine plow with a MICLIC system, allowing the Keiler NG to clear large-scale enemy anti-tank barriers in any terrain. The created mine path is marked by an integrated Line Marking System, ensuring visibility for following forces, even in low light conditions or at night. Based on a Leopard 2 chassis, the Keiler NG benefits from the agility of this platform and effectively utilizes the logistics available for the Leopard family of vehicles. With both active and passive protection measures, along with high mobility, this system is equipped to open mine barriers quickly. It meets the tactical requirements essential for addressing current challenges on the battlefield.

Mine Plough The Keiler NG ABV is equipped with a mine plough, a rocket-assisted mine-clearing line charge, and a magnetic signature duplicator, allowing it to penetrate deep enemy obstacles across various terrains. The ABV is equipped with the Pearson mine plough, which is more than 4m wide. The mine plough can clear mines at a speed of up to 250m per minute and is equipped with a quick-change front-end interface for easy switching between a mine plough and a dozer blade. The Keiler NG ABV also has a magnetic signature duplicator that triggers second-generation mines before the plough reaches them.
Rocket-Assisted Mine-Clearing System For solid ground clearance, the Plofadder rocket-assisted mine-clearing system from Rheinmetall Denel Munition is mounted on the Keiler NG ABV. The Plofadder system is capable of creating a breach 160m long and 9m wide in minefields and obstacles within minutes. When fired in overlapping bursts, the two Plofadder systems of the Keiler NG can clear minefields up to 250m deep.
Lane Marking System Additionally, its lane marking system marks the paths for following forces, even in low visibility or at night.
