Description
The NORINCO VP-10 is a family of amphibious, 8x8 armored vehicles developed for the People's Liberation Army (PLA) as well as export customers in Asia, Africa and Latin America. The vehicle's engine is installed in the front compartment allowing for the troops to leave the VP-10 via rear doors or roof hatches. The basic version is an armored personnel carrier (APC) for 10-12 fully equipped infantrymen but additional versions will be provided with a variety of combat modules including large caliber guns. The Chinese VP-10 armored vehicle can be airlifted. NORINCO was nearing the VP-10 development test cycle in July 2015.
