Lieying
Lieying
The Lieying, Falcon in English, is a bizarre lightweight rotorcraft, also called gyroplane, developed by Shaanxi Bao He Defense Technology of China to conduct missions by army and air force paratroopers. Its lightweight airframe makes it difficult to be located by radar systems. In addition, the airframe is agile and features excellent maneuverability at low speeds and altitudes. The single engine can be shut down allowing the airplane to glide into the intended landing spot. It has a range of 690 kilometers and can take off with a maximum weight of 560 kilograms. The Lieying gyroplane has been designed to carry two commandos, reconnaissance and communications equipment as well as weapons during stealth operations. The Lieying aircraft was unveiled during a military parade in Beijing on October 1, 2019. It already was in service along the Chinese Army (PLA) and Air Force (PLAAF) since early 2019.
