Description

The ANGD (ALADIN Nouvelle Génération Durci, or Aladin new hardened generation) is a mobile military tactical S-band (IEEE designation) or E/F-band (NATO designation) air defense radar manufactured by Thales in France. Developed around 1991, it is designed for the protection of sensitive facilities and is capable of detecting even small drones, with an instrumented range of 100 km and an antenna rotation speed of 12 revolutions per minute. The system incorporates an integrated Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) where four individual radiators, positioned to the left and right of the horn radiators, utilize the main reflector. It replaced the TRS 2100 (Aladin) from the 1970s in the French Air Force.
