Description
The Saab Swordfish is a family of multi-role maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) based upon the Bombardier Q400 turboprop and Global 6000 jet. Swordfish mission system is designed to carry out a wide range of maritime C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computing, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) missions and combat roles. The aircraft avionics suite includes COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) sensors, electronic warfare system from Saab and C4I mission management system.
