Description
The KAMRAT C-130 Ukrainian 4x4 Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) is the first Ukrainian APC to feature the maximum protection class PZSA-6, which is equivalent to STANAG 4569 level 3. The Kamrat armoured vehicle is based on the chassis of the KrAZ-5233 4×4 domestic off-road vehicle. It can accommodate two crew members and eight passengers.

The Kamrat-M, a variant of the Kamrat APC, is based on the Novator wheeled armoured combat vehicle. It is equipped with the Stugna-P anti-tank missile launcher.
The Kamrat-M vehicles equipped with the LRAD-1000Xi long-range acoustic devices participated in the joint special tactical training exercises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), Ukraine, in November 2021.
Kamrat-L
Kamrat-L, which is a Varta mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicle-based multi-function tactical level control unit, along with Kamrat-M was displayed at the Army’s Digital Future exhibition in October 2021. The Digital Future was held on the occasion of Defenders of Ukraine Day, which is celebrated to honour the veterans of the nation’s armed forces.

The vehicle has an electric shock protection and water proof winch with towing capacity 10 t and synthetic rope or steel cable 30 m. In order to increase traction, a set of pulley blocks can be installed.

Note
APC KAMRAT can be equipped with a combat unit “Sarmat” (12.7 mm caliber) with an anti-tank missile system “Corsar” (107 mm caliber) or “Skif” (130 mm and 152 mm caliber).

Armor
Built with Swedish Armor from 560 Steel, the KAMRAT can withstand a direct hit from armor-piercing incendiary 7.62 mm armor.
The KAMRAT engages bulletproof glass of the same protection level as the armor, and its external installation method enables quick replacement if damaged.
Ballistic plates surround the engine for additional protection.
The V-shaped hull of the KAMRAT armoured crew compartment provides protection for the passengers and can withstand a detonation charge equivalent to 6 kg of TNT.
