Description

The 300M is a short-range air-to-air missile being developed for the Russian Air Force as a replacement for the R-73 missile. The new missile may feature increased range and improved seeker with some leverage from the discontinued K-30/R-30 missile which was the first replacement attempt for the R-73. Russia resumed work on the 300M missile in early 2021. The new weapon would be operational in the 2025-2030 timeframe.
