Description
In July 2021 the German Ministry of Defense selected Saab to upgrade the F123 class frigates incorporating new radar systems and fire control systems. The upgrade is planned to be completed between 2021 and 2030. The frigates will be provided with the Sea Giraffe 4A and Sea Giraffe 1X radars as well as 9LV combat management system and CEROS 200 fire control director. The Saab team includes Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard and ESG.
