Description
The ELM-2248 "MF-STAR" (Multi-Function Search and Target Acquisition Radar) is an S-band digital Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) multi-function naval radar. It provides a comprehensive situational picture and weapon support, even under challenging target and environmental conditions, with an instrumented range of 135 nautical miles (250 km). The system features four scalable antenna faces that allow for flexible installation in various configurations and sizes. Its digital transmit/receive elements enable adaptive digital beamforming and mode variations through software, making it a software-defined radar.
