Description

The 3BM-42 Mango is a 125mm armor piercing round developed by the former Soviet Union to neutralize Western-made tanks featuring composite armor. The Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot – Tracer (APFSDS-T) Mango projectile has maximum range of 3 kilometers and can penetrate more than 500mm of composite armor. The 3BM-42 125mm round was introduced in 1986 for use by the latest soviet main battle tanks T-72B1 and T-80U.
