Description

The Boxer APC is intended to transport up to nine fully equipped infantrymen to the battlefield. The vehicle has a crew of two-man while fire support can be provided with an overhead weapon station such as FLW 200 or Protector equipped with 12.7mm or 7.62mm machine guns. The Boxer APC entered service in September 2009. In October 2016, the United Kingdom (UK) Ministry of Defense (MoD) expressed its intention to spend £3.2 billion buying up to 800 Boxer armored vehicles before the Brexit in early 2017.
