BMP-3 Khrizantema
BMP-3 Khrizantema
The BMP-3 Khrizantema is an anti-tank platform combining the Khrizantema anti-tank missile system and the BMP-3 multi-purpose chassis. It is powered by an UTD-29 500-hp diesel engine allowing a top speed of 70 kilometers per hour (kph) on road and 10 kph on water using waterjets. The weapon system is deployed through a remotely controlled mast with two missiles that can be reloaded automatically under armor protection. The vehicle only requires a crew of two-person and carries 13 missiles internally in addition to the two ready-to-fire missiles. The Khrizantema is a supersonic missile capable of piercing up to 1,000 mm of hardened armor at ranges of up to 6,000 meters. The first BMP-3 vehicle of this kind was first seen at the Red Square parade in Moscow April 2014.
