Description
The Blue Sparrow is a two-stage aero-ballistic missile intended to serve as a target simulating Medium Range Ballistic Missiles (MRBM) with a maximum range of 2,000 kilometers. The Blue Sparrow reaches a maximum altitude (Apogee) of 100 kilometers. Israel first tested the Blue Sparrow missile in 2008 and was fully operational as a target for the Arrow 2 Block 4 air defense system by 2012 and for the Arrow 3 by 2014.
