Description

The 3BM66 Svinets-2, Lead-2 in English, is a 125mm armor penetrating round developed to pierce cutting edge Western tanks such as the Leopard 2 A6 and M1A2 Abrams. The 3BM66 was developed in the 2010s but failed to enter mass production for the Russian Army. The armor piercing is intended for use by the last iterations of the T-72, T-80 and T-90 tanks as well as the projected T-14 Armata. The 3BM66 Svinets-2 was deployed in the Ukraine in early February 2023.
