Description
The KM-8 Gran is a 120mm mortar projectile intended to destroy both static and moving targets and fortifications with pint point accuracy using a semi-active laser seeker. A 5.3 kg propulsion charge make this weapon effective against targets located at ranges of 1,500 to 9,000 meters. Gran projectile can be fired from both 120mm rifled or smoothbore mortars. The round is fired like any other unguided mortar round but without ranging. Once the Gran has been fired its laser-based guidance system activates performing a top-attack on its intended target. Its 11.2 High Explosive (HE) fragmentation warhead can take out any armored vehicle.
