Description
The Finnish Navy Squadron 2020, also known as Laivue 2020, is an offshore patrol vessel designed to operate in Arctic. The 1.2 billion Euro program will deliver four 2,500-ton vessels capable of operating in ice conditions to be commissioned in the first half of the 2020s. In September 2016, the Finnish Defense Forces selected Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC) through a letter of intent (LoI) to build the Squadron 2020 vessels.
