Description

The UTS-800 is a single engine turboprop trainer developed by UZGA since 2017 based upon the Diamond Aircraft Industries DART reconnaissance and training aircraft design. The early production aircraft are powered by the GE H80-200 engine, but serial production aircraft will be powered by Russian-made VK-800MS engines. The first prototype took to the skies in October 2023. The Russian Ministry of Defense took delivery of two UTS-800 aircraft in December 2024 for evaluation. The UTS-800 aircraft is expected to perform training and reconnaissance missions as the replacement for the L-39 aircraft family within the Russian Aerospace Forces.
