Description
The Tactical Boost Glide (TBG) is a DARPA program aimed at delivering an unpowered glider weapon traveling at hypersonic speeds above Mach 5. The TBG is expected to fly at altitudes of 60,000 meters to hit time critical targets anywhere on the globe. The new offensive weapon is expected to feature advanced maneuverability to counter any existing and projected missile defenses. Raytheon and Lockheed Martin have been working actively in the TBG program which is expected to deliver a weapon system in the 2020s.
