Description
Ghauri III/Abdali is a two-stage Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) developed by Pakistan in the late 1990s as a further step on the Ghauri ballistic missile family. Ghauri III would have an effective range between 2,500 and 3,000 kilometers and may be equipped with a nuclear warhead. Despite several launch tests have been carried out is uncertain that Pakistan would start series production of a nuclear capable Ghauri III missile. Some sources have reported that Abdali/Ghauri III has some connection with North Korea's NoDong ballistic missile. Pakistan has utilized Ghauri programs to balance India's improving ballistic missile technology.
