Aerolight

The Aerolight is a close range and training Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platform featuring extremely low acoustic signature. The system has been proven in training and intelligence gathering missions. It uses a conventional wheeled takeoff and landing capabilities. Besides, the system can be launched by a catapult and can be recovered by a precision para-foil recovery system. Homeland defense missions include: law enforcement; counter-terrorism; and key facilities security. Military missions include: border and coastal patrol; Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR); Battle Damage Assessment (BDA); situation awareness; and force protection. The air vehicle is equipped with advanced avionics, GPS+INS navigation system, optional CCD-TV and infrared cameras, and an advanced data link allowing for real-time video and data transmission. The Aerolight has been fielded by the Israeli Air Force (IAF), the US Navy and international customers worldwide.
