Description
The TerraSAR-X is a German-made spaceborne radar satellite, measuring 5 meters long and 2.4 meters wide, with a hexagonal cross-section. It operates in the X-band at 9.65 GHz, utilizing a 5-meter-long and 80-centimeter-wide Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) antenna. This antenna comprises 12 panels, each containing 32 slotted waveguide radiators, resulting in a total of 384 standardized modular transmit/receive modules, enabling dual linear polarization. The system achieves an across-track and along-track resolution of 1 meter from its 514 km orbit, with an incidence angle range of 15° to 45°.
