The C-704 (short) and C-705 (medium) is a small, highly subsonic, short-to-medium range anti-ship missile developed to engage surface ships between 1,000 and 4,000 tons. The basic variant utilizes a radar seeker that can be replaced by an imaging infrared (IIR) and TV sensor in the KD variants (C-704KD and C-705KD). The solid fuel missile has a maximum range of 35 kilometers (short) to up to 170 kilometers (medium) and can be launched from airborne, ground and sea platforms. The C-704/C-705 missile system entered service by 2006 and has been sold to several countries worldwide.
