Description

The KAB-250 is a small and compact precision-guided bomb developed by Moscow-based Scientific & Production Enterprise JSC. The 250-kg class new weapon has been designed to hit targets with pinpoint accuracy and minimal collateral damage. The KAB-250 bomb is a derivative of the proven KAB-500 bomb and is the Russian counterpart to the United States Air Force Small Diameter Bomb (SDB). The Russian Air Force completed operational testing of the new KAB-250 bomb on the Su-34 bomber in late 2015. The KAB-250 bomb family is expected to enter service in 2016 onboard the T-50 PAK FA stealth fighter aircraft being carried internally and externally.
