Description
The Hyunmoo V is a ship launched medium range ballistic missile (MRBM) developed by the Republic of Korea to hit targets at distance of up to 3,000 kilometers. The 8-ton Hyunmoo V missile can reach a top speed of Mach 10 and is intended to destroy underground fortifications. The Republic of Korea Navy expects to procure 200 missiles beginning in late 2023 with up to 70 missiles produced annually. Its development was completed in July 2023 and is intended to equip the KDDX/KDX-IV class destroyers.
