Description

The IAI’s Wind Demon is a low-cost air-to-surface standoff weapon developed by IAI to meet the requirements of the Israeli Air Force and export customers. The Wind Demon has a maximum range of 200 kilometers and has been designed to engage stationary targets primarily in self-guided mode. Nevertheless, the Wind Demon is equipped with advanced electro-optical sensors and laser seeker to engage moving or relocatable targets. The weapon is equipped with a 20 kilograms warhead providing blast fragment and penetrating effects. IAI unveiled the new standoff weapon in July 2024 with the weapon to enter service between 2026 and 2030.
